Tony specializes in communications and strategies that support business brands and profiles. In particular, he has a wealth of experience in providing senior counsel to clients in changing or challenging environments. As one of Word Marketing’s two Senior Partners, Tony shares responsibility for the firm’s overall client service, growth and operations.
Tony began Word Marketing in 2005 in an effort to increase the industry standards by innovating and surprising clients. With 29 years of strategy and media management experience, primarily in radio and television, Tony had seen the need for a marketing company that focused on providing intelligent creative through brand building and expanding reach. Prior to the launch of Word Marketing, Tony lead television and radio stations in Kentucky and Missouri to unprecedented growth in their markets. He oversaw all areas of operations including sales, programming, marketing, promotions, engineering, finances, traffic and general management.
A four-time graduate of the Wizard Academy Advertising and Communications school in Austin, Texas, Tony has received degrees in Advanced Wordsmithing, Message Development, Branding, Calculating Ad Budgets and Business Topology. Communication within communities is his specialty, and he is an accomplished speaker who has delivered presentations to groups such as the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Mid-Missouri Advertising Federation, AIMS Radio Owners Club and Missouri Broadcasters Association.
Tony is a founding member of The Revolution non-denominational church in Columbia and serves as Administrator and Chairman of the Board of Directors. He also serves as the Consulting Strategist for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri, a Board of Advisor member for the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and as a Board Member and Marketing Sub-Committee Chair for the Boy Scouts of America Great Rivers Council.
